Visualizing History: The Art of Judy Flores
Ground Floor, Changing Gallery Immerse yourself in the beauty and history of our island at the Guam Museum through the art of one of Guam’s most prolific artists. Opening Friday, October 18, 2019 through February 2020, “Visualizing History: The Art of Judy Flores” features the largest collection of Judy’s work to date.
“Visualizing History: The Art of Judy Flores” is an exhibition that pays tribute to one of Guam’s leading artists and cultural advocates. Featuring curated original pieces and prints, it is the largest display of Flores’ work ever shown in one place. “Visualizing History” invites audiences to consider ways in which art represents and influences the way we interpret our individual identities, everyday realities and interpersonal interactions. It reminds us that history matters and Flores’ work provides a unique lens through which to engage with our past.
